It seems THQ Nordic isn't just buying up game developers on a whim – the company has over 50 titles in the works.
During a recent financial report, founder and CEO Lars Wingefors confirmed that the company has a total of 55 games in development across its numerous studios. Of those 55, only 20 have been announced.
It appears THQ Nordic isn't done with its shopping spree either, having just announced the acquisition of Bugbear Entertainment and Coffee Stain Studios in separate deals.
Finnish developer Bugbear Entertainment is a studio of 18 developers and released the demolition derby title Wreckfest back in June. THQ Nordic has acquired 90% of Bugbear's shares, with the option to acquire the rest at a later time.
THQ Nordic also acquired 100% of Coffee Stain Studios for a sum of USD$34.9 million. The deal now gives THQ the rights to Goat Simulator, Satisfactory and Sanctum, as well as publishing rights for Deep Rock Galactic.
Coffee Stain will operate as an independent group within THQ, with Anton Westbergh remaining in his position as Coffee Stain CEO.
