Square Enix and developers Crystal Dynamics has just announced the first new DLC for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, called "The Forge". Set to launch on November 13th for Xbox One, PS4 & PC, "The Forge" will be available to download for "free" for Season Pass holders and sold separately to those who like to know what the content is before paying for it.

"The Forge" is the first of seven planned monthly DLC adventures and will see Lara making her way through a perilous "lava-flooded forge of the fallen gods to uncover the secrets of Kuwag Yaku". While uncovering this new mystery, "The Forge" will introduce a new challenge tomb, which you can play solo or with a friend in co-op. Completing the new challenge tomb will unlock a grenadier skill, Brocken outift and an Umbrage 3-80 weapon.

Square Enix has promised to provide "players with an abundance of new content, challenge tombs, co-op experiences, weapons and outfits, Score Attack and Time Attack modes, and additional narrative side missions".

We weren't too impressed with Lara's last outing and thought it was "dragged down into the mud by the failings of its narrative and the depictions of its once celebrated character". We're eager to see what the new content adds, but can't help but feel it wont change the core issues we had with the game.

We'll have to wait until November 13th to find out!
