Microsoft's 2018 E3 press conference saw an absolute tsunami of new game reveals and news from the company, including new acquisitions, Game Pass additions and more.

By the end of the conference, the company had showcased 52 games on stage, including 18 "console launch" exclusives and 15 world premieres.

Kicking off the conference with a teaser trailer that announced the new Halo Infinite, the show continued with announcements at a breakneck pace.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps, a 2019 sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest was revealed with a gorgeous gameplay trailer.

Not stopping there, the conference then announced a new title from developer FromSoftware – creators of the Dark Souls series. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be single player third-person action adventure game and is set for an early 2019 release.

Bethesda's Todd Howard then took the stage to announce Fallout 4 is coming to Xbox Game Pass. While there, he also shared a few more details on the new Fallout 76, confirming the game is a prequel to the rest of the Fallout titles. The game will be set in West Virginia, and feature a play area four times the size of Fallout 4

A new game from the development team behind Life is Strange revealed The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. Set in the same universe, the game contains links to the upcoming story and characters of Life is Strange 2.

Although it was recently delayed to February 2019, Crackdown 3 still made an appearance with a new gameplay trailer. Plus, who doesn't love a little more Terry Crews?

For the first time ever, the Kingdom Hearts franchise is coming to Xbox with Kingdom Hearts III. Featuring characters from Frozen, the game will release January 29, 2019.

Meanwhile, Sea of Thieves is getting new DLC in July & September with Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores respectively.

Playground Games Creative Director, Ralph Fulton then took to the stage to break down the features of the new Forza Horizon 4.

"In Horizon 4, every season changes the world around you, with each bringing its own unique beauty and unique gameplay," Fulton noted. "In winter a lake will have frozen solid, allowing for access to new areas. Every season brings new reasons to play."

Set to release this year on October 2, Forza Horizon 4 will be set in Britain and feature a shared open world that will allow players to join co-op sessions seemlessly.

Players on Xbox One X will also have access to a 60fps mode.

Forza Horizon 4 will also be available through Xbox Game Pass from release day.

Horizon 4 concluded with Executive President of Gaming, Phil Spencer taking to the stage to announce Playground Games' acquisition by Microsoft Studios.

Joining Playground Games are three other studios; Undead Labs, Ninja Theory – the studio behind the acclaimed Hellblade, and Compulsion Games, which is set to release We Happy Few on August 10.

In addition to these existing developers, Spencer announced the creation of a new Santa Monica-based studio called The Initiative – in total doubling the number working under the Microsoft Studios umbrella.

Next up was Division 2, set in Washington D.C. 6 months after the original breakout. The game is set to release March 15 2019.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider got a new trailer and a release date of September 14.

While EA may not have announced Skate during its press conference yesterday, CREA-TURE Studios has something for those wanting to ollie once more with Session.

The reveals weren't even close to being over at this point, with Devil May Cry 5 making a return after ten years. Just Cause 4 got an explosive announcement trailer in the wake of its leak on Steam.

Next up, Dying Light 2 was revealed and Narrative Designer, Chris Avallonne took to the stage to detail the game's complex decision system. Whether a player forms alliances, or overthrows factions to gain control over resources, the game will adopt different elements, whether that be free-flowing water or less-reputable citizens.

To wrap up the show, Xbox leaned hard into the work of Coalition Studios and Gears of War.

First, a quirky mobile game modeled from Gears Pop! Vinyl characters was revealed, Gears Pop! will come to iOS and Android in 2019.

Next up, Coalition Studio Head - Rod Fergusson detailed the new turn-based strategy game, Gears Tactics, set 12 years before the events of the first Gears of War.

Finally, Gears 5 was announced, featuring Kait Diaz as the main character.

Phil Spencer returned to the stage to confirm that Microsoft technicians have been working on the next generation of consoles. Then, as he thanked everyone for attending, CD Projekt Red hacked into the conference to reveal their trailer for Cyberpunk 2077
