Bethesda has officially announced a sequel to 2011 shooter Rage.
Rage 2 is in development at Doom’s id Software in conjuction with Just Cause and Mad Max’s Avalanche Studios.
It will come to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on an as-yet unspecified date.
“Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order,” the game’s pitch reads.
“Rage 2 brings together a true open world FPS experience where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.”
Bethesda has promised that a gameplay trailer and more details will arrive tomorrow.
id Software was actually working on Rage 2 before Bethesda cancelled it in 2012 and shifted the game's team onto Doom, which at the time was in all kinds of development trouble.
