A remake of unique puzzle platformer Catherine is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Catherine: Full Body is in development at Atlus, and will feature updated visuals some entirely new content.
First released in 2011, Catherine stars Vincent, an earnest yet spineless 32-year-old software designer who is tempted away from his uptight girlfriend Katherine by the free-spirited Catherine.
Racked by guilt, but curious and unsure what action to take in the wake of this infidelity, Vincent finds his life taking a turn for the surreal when he begins having vivid, death-soaked nightmares after learning that local men his age are mysteriously dying in their sleep.
The gameplay is split between Vincent’s nightmares and waking life, as a 3D puzzler and social sim respectively.
It all sounds bizarre and it is, but it’s also very, very good.
In Full Body, there will be new difficulty levels, new puzzle mechanics, and an online multiplayer mode will be added.
Most intriguingly, there will also be a third woman Vincent will interact with, Rin, who adds new cutscenes and several new endings to the game.
A release date is yet to be announced.
