Titanfall development studio Respawn Entertainment is working on a game set in the Star Wars universe, EA has confirmed.

Specifically, the studio is producing "an all-new 3rd person action adventure game" based on the mega-successful property, according to EA executive VP Patrick Soderlund.

The announcement explains Respawn's spate of hirings in 2014, which included God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen.

Respawn was founded in 2010 by former Infinity Ward developers Jason West and Vince Zampella, putting out online shooter Titanfall in 2014.

Other studios at work on Star Wars titles include DICE (Battlefront), Visceral Games, Capital Games, BioWare, and Motive.

No title, release window, or platforms have been announced.
