In a shocking turn of events, it appears that a popular video game will get a sequel.
In this case, said game looks to be open world action-adventure Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, the sequel to which is mentioned on the resume of an actor.
As discovered by NerdLeaks, actress Lauren Mary Kim has credited herself for stunts and acting on Shadow of Mordor 2, with CGI team Blur Studio listed as her employer.
It seems fairly legit, as Blur worked on Batman: Arkham Knight, Dark Souls II, Assassin's Creed: Unity, BioShock Infinite, and the Mafia III trailer, and Kim has worked for them before.
The actor apparently did some motion capture for the game, or perhaps a trailer for the game.
The news has the Internet (yes, literally all of it) speculating that Shadow of Mordor 2 could star Lithariel, a playable female character who was added to the first game as free DLC.
E3 seems the likely time if a reveal is coming.
Monolith Productions’ last game was the aforementioned Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, which was well-received when it released in late 2014.
“Shadow of Mordor is a triumph, and even a slightly flat ending and some repetition cannot diminish the overall quality of the game,” wrote Gameplanet reviewer Chris Brown.
You all appeared to agree: the game came third in our 2014 Reader’s Choice GOTY poll.
