System Shock 3 has been accidentally revealed, thanks to a countdown clock's apparent failure to conceal its conclusion.
Publisher Otherside Entertainment set up a teaser website with a countdown ending Monday, but it also set the reveal page to go live as well.
Not much will be lost if it goes offline again, given the only information revealed is the long-awaited System Shock 3 title, but that alone is enough to stoke anticipation.
The previous game in the series, System Shock 2, came out in 1999, with only its spiritual successor BioShock emerging since then.
System Shock IP holder Night Dive Studios is also working on a remake of the original game.
More information is sure to come next week as Otherside's actual reveal takes place.
