After weeks of teasing out character information, Epic Games' Paragon was finally unveiled at PlayStation Experience 2015 over the weekend.
Paragon is, like so many new games, a competitive 5v5 MOBA, taking place in three-lane maps in a jungle setting.
It will also feature three-dimensional environments, action-oriented character abilities, and a third person perspective, giving players "direct control over [their heroes]" rather than managing them from a top-down POV.
Though it will play like a third-person shooter, the Unreal and Gears of War developer insists that Paragon "is not a hybrid."
"It is clearly and faithfully a MOBA, brought to life with explosive action."
Matches will support cross-platform play between console and PC, and accounts will synchronise between platforms.
Paragon will launch in paid early access for PS4 and PC in autumn 2016; a free open beta is slated for winter 2016.
