Indie platformer Fez is getting a limited-edition physical release, three years after its original debut.

The release — limited to 500 signed and numbered copies — costs US$100, and is expected to ship December 18th.

It will include DRM-free PC and Mac versions of the game, inside a red canvas, gold-embossed hardcover notebook "ready to be filled with details of your journey into the 3rd dimension."

Disasterpiece's soundtrack is included in the package as a digital download, and is also available separately on vinyl for US$30.

A hit on its 2012 release, Fez is a 2D platformer that takes place in 3D space, with the player rotating the game worlds to gain new perspectives and enable new traversal options.

Developer Polytron's next game, virtual reality puzzler Super Hypercube, is being developed as a launch title for PlayStation VR.
