Nintendo announced today that a new Nintendo Direct will air at 9am AEDT (11am NZT) this Friday.
The broadcast will provide updates about upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games, and will be hosted by Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata (pitured above).
Nintendo began its Nintendo Direct broadcasts in Japan in October 2011, then expanded to the Americas and beyond. It has since broadcast to the public several times a month.
Each region usually has its own presenter, but former Nintendo global president Satoru Iwata featured regularly across all regions until his death in July at age 55.
