A job listing at Blizzard suggests several of its classic games are to be updated for modern operating systems.

The listing, labelled "Senior Software Engineer, Classic Games," specifically cites StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II as "titans of their day.

But as Blizzard says, "evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation."

The studio is looking for the ability to debug unfamiliar code, improve multiplayer, implement "features new and old," and "create conditions for experiences that look as good as they play."

Going well, according to the listing, the successful candidate will restore the above games "to glory."

No official announcements have been made about remasters or re-releases of older Blizzard games.
