Nintendo has redesigned a controversial outfit in Xenoblade Chronicles X for Western audiences.
In the ARPG's Japanese version, one of the eight playable characters, Lin, is thirteen years old, and has costume options best described as bikinis.
Said costumes raise questions of appropriateness, with regards to both age and adventuring.
The NA and European versions of the game up Lin's age to fifteen, while changing the outfits in question to shorts and slightly less-revealing tops.
Similarly, Fatal Frame: Project Zero's NA release will remove two revealing costumes in favour of Nintendo character cosplay.
Xenoblade Chronicles X launches in Europe and North America on December 4th, exclusively on Wii U.
