Contrary to prior reports, there are still first-party Vita projects in the works, Sony says.

Earlier this week, it was reported that SCE senior VP Masayasu Ito said Sony had no titles in development for the system, and that it was leaving it up to third-parties to fill the void.

“Since third-parties are working very hard on PS Vita, SCE’s own strategy is to focus on PS4, which is a new platform,” he said.

However, Sony European boss Jim Ryan told VG247 that there has been some confusion.

“To clarify what was said about Vita, which was either misinterpreted or misreported: I think what was said was that we’re no longer in the business of triple-A development of games for Vita. But there is still first-party Vita content being worked upon,” he said.

Sony didn't feature any Vita games in its 90-minute Paris Games Week showcase.
