Wonderstruck announced its new "open-world sandbox universe" game Boundless at Sony's Paris Games Week conference today.
The Marvellous Miss Take developer describes the title as "super ambitious," and that description doesn't seem far wrong.
Players spawn in their own unique, procedurally-generated homeworlds (with procedurally-generated wildlife), but can create portals to other worlds.
When players find a world they like, they can claim it as their own.
From there, players can invite friends, form guilds, build, share or sell land and resources, and adventure around their newfound home.
Players can use tools like grappling hooks, airships, and other gadgets to navigate the worlds they discover.
"Sentient fortresses" called Titans also prowl the game worlds, and can be looted or fought.
Boundless will launch on PS4 and PC - with cross-platform play enabled - at an unspecified date.
