5th Cell has started a campaign for its new game Anchors in the Drift via recently-launched crowdfunding platform Fig.
The Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life studio says Anchors in the Drift is a free-to-play ARPG with a card-based ability customisation system and dynamic enemies.
Set in a science-fiction universe called the Drift, the result of an interdimensional invasion of Earth, it sees players take control of heroes called Anchors, who come from a variety of time periods.
The Anchors take on the interdimensional invaders in a variety of settings (WWII England, ancient Egypt, feudal Japan) using customisable abilities.
Abilities can be modded using collectible cards acquired from loot crates, affecting elements like cost, cooldown, and attack.
Crowdfunding tiers range from $1 to $10,000, and in accordance with Fig's banner feature, investment options are also available.
As of publication time, Anchors in the Drift had been funded $76,137 of its $500,000 goal, with a month left on the clock.
