YouTube Let's-Player Felix Kjellberg, aka PewDiePie, is set to star in a new reality series on YouTube's soon-to-launch Red service.

The series, entitled Let's Scare PewDiePie, will place Kjellberg in a series of frightening situations inspired by video games.

Cameras will track Kjellberg's reactions as he "scares himself silly with hidden surprises around each corner."

Kjellberg's YouTube schtick involves the Swedish 25-year-old reacting in over the top ways to video games, especially scary ones.

Thus far it has netted him forty million subscribers, ten billion YouTube views, and over $US7 million in 2014 alone.

Let's Scare PewDiePie will premiere in 2016 on YouTube Red, Google's paid, ad-free subscription video service.
