The PlayStation 4 just got a price reduction in Australia and New Zealand.

Formerly retailing for NZ$650 / AU$550, the 500GB hard disk drive version of the console will now sell for a recommended retail price of NZ$570 / AU$480.

Earlier this month, Sony dropped the price of the PS4 in the US by US$50.

“With this year’s biggest blockbusters and next year’s best exclusives such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End set to thrill players, there has never been a better time to join the PS4 community.

“Also, watch out for an amazing range of Ultimate Player Edition Bundles including the 1TB PS4 and some of the biggest games of the year, offering even greater value.”

Sony also pledged to strengthen the PS4’s software line-up, bolster the network services available on PlayStation Network.
