Indie horror game Allison Road's Kickstarter campaign has been cancelled, thanks to studio Lilith signing a publishing deal.

The game will now be funded and published by Team17, publishers of The Escapists and upcoming platformer Yooka-Laylee.

Lilith announced the move as a Kickstarter update, optimistic about receiving "the resources, support and experience that only a 25 year old studio can give."

The studio also noted that it is looking for ways for would-be backers to "be involved in the game at a later date."

Inspired by the acclaimed and later fully-cancelled demo PT, Allison Road is a narrative-driven survival horror game aiming for intimacy and "disturbing gameplay."

Its crowdfunding campaign was set to close in nine days' time, and had a goal of US$250,000.
