StarCraft II's 3.00 patch is bringing some considerable UI changes to the game.
The menu systems have received a complete graphical overhaul, with 3D models now present in most menu panes, and the campaign selection screen now has a character focus.
Blizzard is hoping these improvements will make the game's social features more accessible, and will support them with an overhauled chat system.
Now players will be able to access the chat pane from any screen within the game, with the option to extend and lock the window into whichever position they prefer.
The window has been designed to allow players constant access to their conversations without game navigation getting in the way.
Also improved are the UI systems for the game's arcade modes. The new system will allow players to browse modes quickly and comprehensively without having to dive in and out of screens.
