Competitive first-person shooter Block N Load is now free-to-play.
“We know from working together with our amazing player community, that the vast majority of our players wanted Block N Load to be a free-to-play game, so that’s what we’ve done!” said Jagex Studios vice president David Solari.
“We took the time to develop and implement a fully-rounded free-to-play experience, and added a ton of new content and improvements on top.”
As part of the transition to free-to-play, Jagex are adding several new features to the team-based shooter.
An update will add daily challenges and new heroes, as well as new progression and perks systems.
Gold bars are acquired through playing, and can be used to unlock new heroes and perks. Platinum bars can be purchased in-game with real-world cash.
There is a starter pack available for NZ$12, which will give you three heroes and 400 platinum to spend in the in-game store.
