Lego Dimensions will be getting at least three years of additional content, game producer Mark Warburton says.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Warburton revealed that the studio has content planned for the next three years and that “we've got no intention of stopping there".

“We've created the toy pad so that it shouldn't need to be updated. And we can just create new level and character packs to keep expanding that,” he said.

Lego Dimensions was released last week. The starter pack includes mini figures of Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle from The Lego Movie. The first wave of add-ons also launched with the game including The Simpsons and Back to the Future. Three more waves are planned for November, January and March.

Despite the number of add-ons, Warburton clarified in the interview that you could complete the game with only the starter pack.

"You can 100 per cent the game and get the Platinum trophy just from the base set. People have been playing Lego games for 10 years now, and we shouldn't be offering anything less than that,” he said.
