Influential first-person role-playing game System Shock has received the Enhanced Edition treatment.

To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the game's launch, Night Dive Studios has tweaked and re-released the classic Origin Systems DOS adventure with a handful of new features.

According to Night Dive, System Shock: Enhanced Edition features streamlined gameplay with mouselook control, and support for higher resolutions has been added – up to 1024x768 or 854x480 in widescreen.

The game has also received bug fixes and its user interface has been upgraded, but a classic mode is included, allowing players to enjoy the game exactly as it was upon release 21 years ago.

System Shock: Enhanced Edition is available now on GOG.com.
