Jonathan Blow’s The Witness finally has a release date.

In a PlayStation blog post this morning, Blow announced that the open world puzzle game would be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and PC on January 27.

The Witness was expected to come out around the time of the PlayStation 4 launch, but an increase in the scale of the game saw it delayed multiple times.

“When we started making this game, I figured it would have between eight and 12 hours of playtime,” he said.

“As it happens, the game we’ve finally built is around 10 times as big as that.

“If you are a completionist who wants to wring every last drop out of the game, you might expect to play for 80 hours, or possibly 100.”

A new gameplay trailer accompanied the announcement.
