Good Old Games' Steam competitor GOG Galaxy is launching a feature that allows players to "roll back" troublesome game updates.
Players will now be able to revert to previous versions of games if updates cause issues, as they occasionally do.
"With the newest update to GOG Galaxy, we're giving our users more control over their games and patches," said GOG's Piotr Karwowski.
GOG Galaxy was launched in May and already offers users the chance to opt out of game updates.
Console and Steam users typically get updates automatically, and while they are meant to improve games, they occasionally introduce bugs or performance issues, sometimes even breaking games entirely for some users.
Some of The Witcher 3's updates, for example, unleashed new bugs even as they fixed old ones.
Version 1.1 of GOG Galaxy, which introduces update rollback, goes live today and also updates the service's interface and social features.
No word on whether users can roll back to version 1.0 of GOG Galaxy itself.
