Cities: Skylines' first expansion, After Dark, is all about what goes on in the dark.

Up until now, the runaway hit that outdid EA's SimCity has taken place entirely in the daytime.

Citizens will now be able to avoid sunburn, enjoy nightlife, and finally get some shuteye with the new day-night cycle, but several other features are coming as well.

New leisure and beach specialisations expand the range of businesses that can be operated in one's bustling metropolis.

City services like law enforcement, taxis, airports, and bus systems have been given a major overhaul, and bike lanes make their first appearance.

The expansion announcement comes alongside the news that the game will be ported to consoles, with the Xbox One version coming first.

Cities: Skylines: After Dark has no firm release date, but according to publisher Paradox, it's "coming soon."
