Angry Birds 2 has been downloaded over 10 million times in its first five days of release, says developer Rovio.

Even more impressively, one million of those downloads took place within twelve hours.

Rovio did not mention how many of its players have spent real-world money on the game's intrusive free-to-play features.

The Angry Birds franchise's dozen-plus games have racked up over a billion downloads since 2009, and players have collectively spent a million years playing them, according to Apple.
