Mafia III will be unveiled at Gamescom next week.
Publisher 2K has revealed that an announcement trailer will launch at midnight on Wednesday August 5. The game will also be shown at a behind-closed-doors presentation at Gamescom.
“Mafia III is the next installment in the popular series known for immersing players in a world of organised crime through rich narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring period-accurate cars, music and fashion,” it said.
A casting call that took place in March last year suggested the open world crime game would be set in Louisiana. At that time, Take-Two was casting for three roles: Franklin, Tony, and Mickey.
The game is in development at Hangar 13, a California studio recently created by 2K.
