The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is set to hit PS4 next week on July 15th.

The PS4 version has been remade in Unreal Engine 4, and heralds a similarly rebuilt PC version of the game to come in "a few weeks".

Adrian Chmielarz, the game's creator, told Eurogamer the PS4 version is "close to what's on PC but it just plays better".

The supernatural, psychological detective game received much praise for its graphics, which used the new technique of photogrammetry to achieve breathtaking results.

Gameplanet's Chris Brown scored the game 9.0, calling it "a compelling interactive novella that draws players in with its beautifully atmospheric setting."
