Star Wars: Battlefront leads the nominations for the 2015 Game Critics' Best Of E3 Awards, with five nods including Best of Show.

Close behind, Fallout 4 and Horizon: Zero Dawn gained four nominations each.

In order for games to qualify for nomination, hands-on time must have been provided to the gaming publications that vote on them.

The Best of E3 Awards are somewhat misleading in that voters only play curated sections of incomplete games, in an environment laden with hype, marketing, and PR spin.

Whether the nominated games end up as good as their awards make them sound is up in the air, but publishers will almost certainly put the awards on their packaging anyway.
