Grip Games announced its first-person sci-fi survival game, The Solus Project, at E3 today.

Two years in development, the game sees the player stranded on an alien planet, trying to survive and uncover its mysterious, unfriendly environment and ultimately get back home.

It features online components that allow players to share resources and cooperate between their respective single-player experiences.

The Unmechanical and The Ball developer says it is "their dream game," and that it aims to match the visual fidelity of AAA titles.

The Solus Project will be released in early 2016 for PC and Xbox One.
