The first Steam Machines will be released on November 10 in the US, Valve has announced.

The Steam Controller and Steam Link will be available that same day.

As reported by Polygon, Alienware and CyberPower will be the first two computer designers to release Steam Machines, with other manufacturers expected to announce pre-order plans in the coming weeks.

The cheapest available Steam Machine will cost US$449, and both the Steam Controller and the Steam Link will sell for US$49.

All Steam Machines run the Linux-based SteamOS and are thus only compatible with Linux games, but they can stream any Steam game from another local Windows PC or Mac.

Between 1,000 and 1,200 games will be natively supported at launch, according to Dell and Valve officials.
