EA is teasing the reveal of the next Need for Speed game, and it looks like it could be a third title in the Underground sub-series.
According to a post on the franchise’s Facebook page, a reveal will take place this Friday on the franchise’s YouTube channel.
That information is accompanied by a dark image that appears to show two cars drifting around a track in a city, which brings Underground to mind.
That said, the night-time setting evokes Need For Speed: Carbon as well, so who knows.
The last Underground title was 2004’s Need for Speed: Underground 2, which was the well-received eighth core Need For Speed title released.
There have been 12 core Need For Speed games since then, but the franchise skipped last year in order to ensure it will deliver a high-quality experience this year.
