The next core title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be unveiled next week, Ubisoft has announced.

The game will be detailed via a livestream on Wednesday May 13 at 4am NZT.

Judging by the game's official website, it's coming to last- and new-gen consoles, PC, and Wii U.

Last year a leak – confirmed by Ubisoft – showed that the game would set in Victorian London.

It’s rumoured the game will be called Assassin’s Creed: Victory.

"It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked,” said Ubisoft at the time.

“And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public.”
