Ahead of the Call of Duty world championship this weekend, Activision has circulated an infographic with some interesting data about the series' lifetime achievements.

Headlining the infographic is news that the franchise has sold more than 175 million copies across all titles in the series over the last 10 years.

There have been more than 100 billion multiplayer matches, which is equivalent to 263 million English profession football seasons, and players have thrown 300 billion grenades - more than 44 times the number of mobile phones in the world.

The Call of Duty Championship takes place in Los Angeles this weekend. Teams will compete for a total prize pool of US$1 million.
