Kiwi-Cast’s second livestream fundraiser aims to gather cash for Christchurch earthquake non-profit Rebuild Christchurch.
According to Rebuild’s website, the aim of the non-profit organisation is to “record the time line of how we rebuild our city, our lives and our community.”
“Natural disasters can cause a stir of emotions, and when it happens overseas a lot of support is given,” said Kiwi-Cast organiser Mili Goswami.
“The same happened in our backyard in Christchurch and four years on the rebuild is still a struggle with people without jobs, buildings still broken and we want to help out the communities in Christchurch in their journey to recovery.”
The live stream will run from 11am on April 11 until April 12 at 6pm, but donations can be made now.
During the stream there will be gaming, competitions, auctions including a cricket bat signed by the Blackcaps, dares, a Minecraft server, a Fibbage championship, a cosplay competition, and more.
In addition, Kiwi-Cast personalities will face off against eSports outfit Aspect of Gaming in Left 4 Dead.
Sponsors include Logitech, SushiTime, and Armageddon.
More information is available on the official Kiwi-Cast website.
