Adelaide studio Dark Day Interactive has announced Once Bitten, Twice Dead, an open world survival horror MMOFPS for PC and Wii U.
Pitched as a heady mix of action adventure, horror, and survival, Once Bitten, Twice Dead puts players in the middle of a virus pandemic that's mutated living things into undead creatures.
According to Dark Day, it features a true open world environment, vehicles, harvesting, crafting, and cooking, random boss encounters, and a mode where you play as the infected.
Humanity have holed themselves up in camps after the 'falling' - a catastrophic event that spawned the munchers, survivors only venture out for precious building materials, guns and ammo, and, of course, food and water. Do you have what it takes to lead a team to survive? Or are you a lone wolf, looking after number one?
There are 15 character classes, a day/night cycle, more than 50 weapons, and mod support.
Up to 100 people can play simulataneously, and curiously for an MMO, there are offline modes as well.
You can vote for Once Bitten, Twice Dead on Steam Greenlight now.
