Valve will showcase a new VR headset at the Game Developers Conference next week.

"At GDC 2015, we’ll be giving demos of the refined Steam Controller, new living room devices, and a previously-unannounced SteamVR hardware system," said the company.

The company added that it was "actively seeking" virtual reality content creators.

In May 2014, Valve announced that it would push back its Steam controller by a year in order to make some improvements to its design.

Virtual reality will have a commanding presence at GDC 2015. SteamVR will be in direct competition to Facebook's Oculus Rift, and Sony's Project Morpheus.
