Sony is considering the sale of its unprofitable TV and smartphone divisions, claims Reuters.
According to the report, Sony has already sold its Vaio PC line. Sony Online Entertainment was also sold earlier this month.
Reuters claims that Sony intends to invest more in profitable divisions such as PlayStation, and PlayStation Plus.
As a result of the changes, Sony expects to see a 25 fold profit boost by 2018.
Sony shares have risen over 80 percent in the last year as investors have responded positively to the changes made by new CEO Kaz Hirai.
