Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson says he feels a little guilty having sold up to Microsoft.
Speaking with fans on Twitter, Notch said he "kinda" feels like he was a sell-out.
@Mr_RuizV I kinda feel like I am, but I still feel like I made the right choice. I guess some things always come at a cost.

Notch said the weight of expectation on any follow-up to Minecraft was difficult to manage.
@Mr_RuizV The one trick pony thing was hard to deal with. Matching the insane success of Minecraft would be impossible. I'm ok with it now

Notch said he spends his days now building prototypes for leisure.
"The fun is back!" he said. "Programming is annoying and frustrating."
"And then when most prototypes are horribly unplayable, nobody judges me."
Microsoft has acquired Mojang and Minecraft for US$2.5 billion in September 2014.
