Work appears to have stopped on The Stomping Land, an ambitious dinosaur-themed multiplayer survival game that accepted more than US$100,000 in crowdfunding.
An artist hired to work on the project claims he stopped working on The Stomping Land last month, and that he has been unable to contact the game's creator, Alex "Jig" Fundora, who still owes him for work already done.
"More than a month has passed since the day when I received the last reply from Jig," said the artist, husing the handle Vlad.
"Jig owes me the money for the latest model, he's put me in a very difficult situation because now I will have to pay our texture artist for his work from my own pocket."
The news has upset backers who have demanded refunds, but have little recourse.
The Stomping Land achieved some fame in May 2013 after securing six times its Kicktarter funding target of US$20,000. Following its Kickstarter success the game launched on Steam Early Access for US$25.
