Alleged SWATer "Famed God" arrested in Las Vegas

A 19-year-old Las Vegas man has been arrested on charges related to a "SWATing" incident in July.

Brandon Wilson, AKA "Famed God", was arrested by FBI agents on Friday, NZDT.

In Illinois, Wilson faces various charges related to SWATing, the act of calling in a hoax emergency in order to elicit an armed police response at the desired address.

Illinois prosecutors who have examined Wilsons computer claimed to have found evidence related to the July 10 SWATing incident. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Wilson's computers also held evidence of similar incidents across the United States.

Authorities in Illinois, Texas, California and South Carolina are assisting in the investigation, reports the Sun-Times.

Wilson will face charges of computer tampering, intimidation, and identity theft, among others. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.
