Australian indie developer Membraine Studios will bring its debut wargame Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire out of Early Access and on to Steam and the Humble Store on Monday.
A futuristic turn-based strategy wargame that puts players in brigade-level control of infantry, armoured companies, and massive super-vehicles, Exodus Wars should appeal to fans of the Total War series on PC, as well as those who enjoy tabletop games like Warhammer 40,000.
“This is warfare on a massive scale that will appeal to those who enjoy games that provide both a strategic and tactical challenge,” reads the game’s pitch.
“Featuring a unique, streamlined command system for fast-paced battles with Chess-style alternating activations, customisable armies, and simple – yet deep – strategic and tactical play, the game tells a story from the Exodus Wars, a bloody civil war fought between the Guild and the Royal Empire of Man.”
Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire will be available on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam and Humble Store for US$20.
