Free-to-play online multiplayer shooter APB Reloaded is on its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

It is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2015, and like the PC version will contain microtransactions.

An Xbox Live Gold subscription will be required on Xbox One, but PlayStation 4 owners can play it without PlayStation Plus.

The ports are in development at The Workshop Entertainment, which helped Tango Gameworks with The Evil Within and Gearbox with Borderlands 2 expansion Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage.

Reloaded Games, which created the PC version, is also on board, and Deep Silver will publish.

Realtime Worlds released APB: All Points Bulletin in 2010 to mixed reviews. When that studio went into administration, the game's rights were sold to Reloaded, which relaunched the title as the free-to-play APB Reloaded. It also received a very mixed reception.
