Microsoft has said it is exploring the possibility of streaming PC games to the living room via Windows 10 and Xbox One.

Yesterday, Microsoft announced the Xbox app for Windows 10, which will allow users to stream Xbox One exclusives to Windows 10 PCs and tablets. Microsoft demonstrated Forza Motorsport 5 being played on a Surface Pro 3 tablet.

In a session after the reveal, Xbox lead Phil Spencer said Microsoft is looking at streaming in the other direction as well.

“People ask about the streaming in the opposite direction–can I stream from my PC to my Xbox?–and I’ll just say it’s something that we’re really looking at.”

“If you think about that vision – my games are my games wherever I am, and I can play with whoever I want to play with – we want to be able to land solutions that are as native as the one we showed there,” he added. “We just have to kind of work with the physics of time and work it through.”
