Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees will make his first video game appearance in over fifteen years this October.

The game will star the slasher in the iconic hockey mask, and will feature asymmetrical, co-op and competitive multiplayer, reports EGM.

It will be based on content from the long-running film series, and content from the upcoming TV series.

It is coming to multiple platforms.

“We felt the timing was right to finally explore Jason, Camp Crystal Lake, and the rest of the Friday the 13th story in interactive form,” said the original film’s creator Sean S. Cunningham. “We have some exciting new ideas for a game that supplies plenty of replay value, while delivering the kinds of thrills and scares that fans of the franchise have come to expect.”

The last Friday the 13th game came out on the NES in 1989.
