◆ Sony has delayed the release of the PlayStation 4 in China. The console was to launch on January 11, but that isn’t happening due to “various factors”.
◆ According to NPD data, the top-selling games in New Zealand last year were Minecraft, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Grand Theft Auto V, and six of the top-selling PC games were related to The Sims. There’s more detail here (note: data collection methodology not disclosed).
◆ When asked about the status of Steam Machines by GameInformer, Valve said: “We’re planning a very large presence at GDC with Steam Machines being front and centre.”

◆ East Asian media app Crunchyroll is now available on Wii U, giving that console’s owners access to more than 25,000 episodes and 15,000 hours of hit licensed content, including the most popular current and classic shows like Naruto Shippuden, One Piece, Sword Art Online, and Hunter x Hunter.
◆ Ninja Theory’s upcoming Celtic-inspired hack ‘n’ slash Hellblade is coming to PC as well as PlayStation 4.
◆ EA has released a mobile app for The Sims 4 that allows users to share and download creations into the game. “With the app, anyone interested in a little The Sims inspiration can discover exciting new Sims, households, rooms and homes created by The Sims community and engage with creations from other talented players when logged-in to an Origin account,” says the company.
◆ Supergiant Games’ Transistor has sold more than 600,000 copies, and Bastion has sold more than 3 million so far.
◆ Bayonetta 2 has been hailed as the Accessible Mainstream Game of the Year by AbleGamers, a charitable organisation catering to gamers with disabilities. Sometimes Always Monsters won the indie category.

◆ The release of Bladestorm: Nightmare – the remake of Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War – has been pushed back two weeks. The game will now release for new-gen as well as PlayStation 3 on March 20.
