◆ Free-to-play online shooter Survarium – the FPS from former GSC (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) developers Vostok Games – is now in open beta. Available in the beta are Team Deathmatch and Battery Retrieval modes. Extra multiplayer modes and a PvE mode are still to come.

◆ Paul Hellquist, who was creative director on Borderlands 2 and BioShock, has joined Robot Entertainment to work as lead designer on MOBA Orcs Must Die Unchained.

The Bluetooth-powered LYNX 9 Mobile Hybrid Controller can wrap around a tablet or smartphone, and you can even snap in a QWERTY keyboard so you can chat while you play. It’s a hefty US$300 and will be available (in the US at least) from March.
