Sony is extending all PlayStation Plus memberships by five days to make up for the Christmas PSN outage.
The company is also offering those affected a code that grants a one-time 10 percent discount off a total cart purchase in the PlayStation Store.
"Since access to PlayStation Network was impacted during the holidays, we wanted to show our appreciation for your patience," wrote Sony Network Entertainment boss Eric Lempel on PlayStation Blog.
Meanwhile, according to The Daily Dot sources, the FBI is actively investigating a member of the hacker collective that claimed responsibility for the Christmas cyberattacks on Microsoft and Sony.
Finland-based teen and Lizard Squad member Ryan (“ryanc”) spoke with both the BBC and Sky after the attacks, and thus made himself a target for the US-based bureau.
However, Ryan told The Daily Dot he is not concerned about the FBI, as he cannot be apprehended by them while he remains in Finland.
“I don’t have any accurate personal information out there, and I’d like to keep it that way,” he added.
On December 27, Kim Dotcom convinced Lizard Squad to cease its attacks on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network in exchange for lifetime memberships for his file-sharing service, Mega.
