Square Enix will air at least two new trailers at the Spike Video Game Awards next week.
The news was broken by the publisher’s Europe and North America vice president of marketing, Karl Stewart.
“Just reviewed the final cuts of both trailers we’re showing at next Saturdays Spike TV VGX,” said Stewart. “Amazing stuff from the teams as ever. Cant wait.”
Square studio Eidos Montreal is working on a reboot of Thief, and Crystal Dynamics is understood to be working on a sequel to this year's Tomb Raider reboot.
Square Enix filed a trademark for "Tomb Raider: Reflections" on November 12, and suggested interested gamers “keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December.”
Meanwhile, Eidos’ Thief reboot has been mired in pre-release criticism. The studio has announced multiple changes to address mounting fan concerns, including the removal of a proposed XP system, and the removal all quick-time events originally planned for the stealth game.
